When I was an undergraduate, I studied Organizational Communication. Two of my favorite classes dealt with negotiation and conflict resolution. Both classes emphasized Dale Carnegie’s book, How to Win Friends and Influence People. One of the reasons I believe that Mr. Carnegie’s book is so valuable, is it’s ability to provide simple advice regarding relationships to so many people. Although the principles discussed in the book are quite simple, they’re things we each forget about so easily.
This post gives some insightful information that follows up on that great advice.
Remember, the key to being liked is showing a genuine interest in others.
